Skyrim: Special Edition will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 28, 2016. The Special Edition will help make things quicker and easier for all gamers - and that's not a bad thing for anyone.
On top of that, modding a PC game has always been a difficult and time-consuming task, requiring fans to put in a lot of effort to get the mods working as intended. PC users have always been able to make use of mods to the game, which technically should let them play with superior graphics right now, though the difference here is that these enhancements have been made officially by the people at Bethesda and will likely have been designed to run more smoothly than the average independent modder can manage. That said, fans appear very excited about jumping back into the world of Skyrim this October, complete with all of the game's DLC and upgraded graphics. The announcement of the new Skyrim remaster wasn't exactly a surprise, with rumors having been floating around the Internet for a week at this point. So far it is unclear as to whether there will be any new content or features coming with the Skyrim: Special Edition, other than the obvious graphical improvements, but even without any other changes, the new version of the game still looks impressive enough to warrant a second purchase from even the most casual of fans.
The game will also offer modding on console, with the trailer showing the interface looking very similar to Fallout 4's newly-implemented mod support. Skyrim: Special Edition is a remaster of the 2011 addition to The Elder Scrolls main series, coming with numerous graphical enhancements such as remastered art and effects, volumetric god rays, and adding dynamic depth of field made to the base game's already impressive visuals. It has not been announced so far as to whether the company will be offering a similar deal to console owners, though there is still time before the October 28 release date. To take part in the offer, a player must own a copy of the Skyrim core game with all add-ons, or simply own the Legendary Edition.
